FAQs

Can I post anonymously?

Absolutely! We ask for a name and email when you submit for our records and in case we need to reach you regarding your letter for any reason, but that information will be kept strictly confidential unless you opt to have your letter attributed to you by name. If you choose to remain anonymous, we will respect your privacy.

I want to get involved but I’m not ready to write a Dispatch, what else can I do?

We’re still growing and there are plenty of ways to help strengthen our community without writing a Dispatch, including following Dispatch from Daybreak on Instagram (and reposting!), sharing this site with a friend, joining the mailing list, requesting topics, and writing a testimonial.

Is it okay if I only want to read other womxn’s stories and not submit my own?

YES! You do not need to submit your own Dispatch. They’re here for you to read and share with others who might need to see it.

I want to write a Dispatch but I don’t know how! Can you help me write?

The most important thing to remember is that there’s no such thing as a bad Dispatch. You cannot write a bad story if it’s YOUR story. That being said, we know it can be really hard to start and a blank page is very daunting. That’s why we’ve created these Dispatch creation exercises for you to do at home to get your creative juices flowing!

What happens after I submit a Dispatch?

We will read and publish all Dispatches, as long as they do not promote self harm or dangerous behaviors. Publish dates depends on the number of submissions at any one time, so be sure to check back often!

The issue I’m struggling with isn’t reflected in the Dispatches. Now what?

Our goal is to cover the full range of experiences from anyone who identifies as a woman, but that will take some time and we need your help! Please let us know what topics you’d like to see addressed and we will do our best to find (and publish) a Dispatch for you.

My question isn’t addressed here, help!
